The Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Interdisciplinary Research Group of the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) is seeking a passionate and motivated Postdoctoral Associate to rapidly ramp up conception, development, and prototyping of diagnostic and surveillance tools to address specific clinical needs within the larger field of antimicrobial resistance.
PhD in chemical, biomolecular, or biological engineering or a related science discipline if the applicant is skilled in technology development; strong publication record
Relevant technical expertise:
o Bioanalytical and bioconjugate chemistry; design of experiments
o Immunoassays, including bead-based assay formats
o Clinical diagnostics (protein analytes)
o Use of software to mine and analyze biological data sets
o Quantitative treatment of data using scientific and engineering software tools
Relevant professional abilities and attributes:
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams and take ownership of meeting technical milestones
o Meticulous documentation of experimental procedures and results
o Timely submission of papers to peer-reviewed journals
o Up-to-date mastery of the relevant peer-reviewed and patent literature
