The Department of Mathematics at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York is accepting applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor (academic-year commitment). The position requires teaching and developing content for courses in introductory mathematical and scientific computing and data analysis, as well as other courses in the applied math curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate level. We are looking for someone to help implement our proposed MS program in applied and interdisciplinary mathematics. Other duties may include designing computational content for a variety of undergraduate courses such as probability, linear algebra, differential equations, etc.
The expected teaching assignment is three courses per semester.

- Masters in mathematics or related discipline.
- Substantial programming experience, preferably in Python.
- Interest in teaching based on active learning methods.
