The College of Optical Sciences and the College of Engineering at the University of Arizona invite applications for multiple faculty positions in quantum photonic technologies, effective August 2018. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, in establishing a world-class research program, and a track record of interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork. We seek candidates with strong interest and demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following topic areas: (a.) photonic quantum-enhanced sensing and metrology, (b.) design and demonstration of quantum-secured optical communications and networking, (c.) generation and manipulation of non-classical light including single photons, squeezing, entangled states, and topological states, with specific focus on integrated photonic platforms, and (d) theoretical expertise in quantum algorithms and error correction. Candidates with a strong background in photonic quantum information processing with a demonstrated experience and track record in system integration and system demonstration are especially encouraged to apply. These are tenure-track positions intended to be at the assistant professor level, but Associate and Full professor appointments will also be considered for exceptional candidates. The position(s) could be supported in either the College of Optical Sciences or College of Engineering, or jointly between the two, depending on the expertise of the successful candidate(s).
