The School of Biological Sciences (SBS), part of the College of Science, was established in 2002 with a mission to advance biological and biomedical sciences. At SBS, our research spans various areas, including infectious diseases, immunology, neurodegenerative diseases, telomere biology, and genome function. Over the years, SBS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.

We are looking for a Project Officer / Research Assistant to support ongoing research in the area of structural biology. The role will be as part of a team focusing on investigating the molecular mechanism of cilia biogenesis by using cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform biochemistry experiments

  • Conduct structure studies related data collection and processing

  • Support lab operations and bookkeeping

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology/biochemistry or related field

  • Previous lab experience in biology and biochemistry or similar role is desired but not necessary

  • Familiarity with required scope (e.g. national codes and standards)

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Proficiency in job-specific abilities, such as programming and wet lab skill, can be acquired through training

  • Ability to work independently / develop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye for details / excellent organizational / time management skills
