Auburn University's College of Forestry, Wildlife, and Environment is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our Forestry biotechnology Lab. This position will focus on pioneering the use of sustainable and cost-effective nanocellulose for DNA delivery in plant genetic engineering, aiming to significantly enhance crop quality and resistance to environmental stressors.
Develop and optimize the formulation of cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) for efficient DNA delivery in plants. Conduct detailed experiments to evaluate the efficacy of CNC-mediated DNA delivery and its impact on plant genetic expression. Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to innovate and refine bioengineering methodologies. Mentor graduate students and contribute to the lab’s research goals through innovative project ideas and grant writing.
