The Department of Mathematics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach campus, invites applications for an Instructor position starting August 2018.Service to other programs being a major responsibility of the Department, excellence in teaching is our first priority. Our faculty are student focused and one of our Department’s goal is to contribute to the growth and success of our student population. This position is exclusively a teaching position for General Education Mathematics classes. We are looking for experienced professionals who are passionate about service to students, teaching, and the learning process. The candidate must hold at least a Master of Science degree in Mathematics or a related field by the time of appointment and have a successful teaching experience.
The teaching load will be an average of fifteen credit hours per semester.The Department of Mathematics provides the mathematical foundation for Embry-Riddle’s degree programs, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Computational Mathematics degree and two minors, Applied Mathematics and Computational Mathematics. The Department of Mathematics, housed in the College of Arts and Sciences, is focused on teaching excellence, and has a strong emphasis on design and project-based learning. Especially, we are seeking candidates with experience in innovative teaching techniques.
