A PhD student position is available immediately for a biotechnology research project involving the production of enzymes for industrial applications. Specifically, this interdisciplinary project will focus on looking at bioprocessing issues related to the isolation, scale-up, harvesting, separation and storage of desired enzymes with application in the oil & gas sector. The ideal applicant will be experienced in the operation of bioreactors, protein characterization and separation, and microbiology. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic about their work, be able to conduct research independently and have good verbal and written communication skills. Initial salary funding is available.
