Position Available: Research Associate / Project Officer, Microbiome & AI
We invite you to join Dr Anni Zhang's laboratory at SBS as a Research Associate or Project Officer. This role will contribute to a groundbreaking project focused on “Predicting DNA-Protein Binding to Enhance Bacteria-Based Cancer Therapy Safety and Efficacy.”
Key Responsibilities:

Construct training datasets from bacterial genomes and experimentally validated datasets

Design and evaluate AI models for predicting DNA-protein interactions

Organize lab activities and manage basic administrative tasks
Job Requirements:

A Master's degree in environmental engineering or a related field, with a focus on chemical engineering

Strong communication skills in English - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders

Experience in machine learning and microbial sequence analysis

Solid background in microbiology

Patient, curious, and detail-oriented
