Position Summary

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Villanova University welcomes applications for a continuing non-tenure track position in Statistics that begins in Fall semester 2018. The teaching load for the position is 12 credit hours per semester. The primary duties are to teach multiple sections of our four-credit-hour business statistics course. There is also the opportunity to teach other introductory and advanced undergraduate or graduate courses in Statistics. Our department offers an undergraduate Minor in Statistics and an MS in Applied Statistics. In addition to teaching, our new colleague is expected to advise undergraduate Mathematics majors, attend department meetings, and participate in the life of the department.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach 12 credit hours (three or four courses) per semester.
  • Advise Mathematics majors.
  • Attend department meetings.
  • Participate in the life of the department.


Minimum Qualifications

Masters degree in Statistics or a related field; Strong teaching ability.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in Statistics or a related field; Exceptional teaching ability.
