The United Arab Emirates University Department of Physics is currently accepting applications for a faculty position in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Quantum Materials, Energy Harvesting, or Energy Storage. This position is open at the Assistant Professor level, although exceptionally qualified candidates may be considered for appointment at the Associate Professor level. The successful candidate is expected to be fully committed to teaching excellence and providing student advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, the candidate should develop and maintain a robust research program in the area of expertise, secure funding for research both internally and externally, publish their research findings in reputable journals, and supervise MS and PhD students. Experience in securing research grants and student supervision is desirable. Applicants who can articulate a vision for independent research that addresses the UAE’s national strategic priorities will be preferred. The candidate is expected to participate actively in teaching physics courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, take part in the department’s administrative and community services, and actively promote the Department of Physics, the College of Science, and the University through excellence in teaching and research.
