PostD Fellow in Functional Nanomaterials for Biomedical Applications at Nanjing University, China
Several postdoctoral positions are immediately available in Professor Hui Wei’s research group in Department of Biomedical Engineering at Nanjing University.
Interested candidates are expected to have an excellent research records with strong expertise and experimental background in one of the following areas (but not limited to): hands-on experience with small animal experiments, nanomaterials synthesis and functionalization, mechanism study of catalysis, and biosensing and instrumentation.

About Dr. Wei
Hui Wei is a Professor in College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Nanjing University. He joined Nanjing University after postdoctoral training with Professors Yi Lu and Shuming Nie, respectively. He received his PhD degree from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he carried out graduate research with Professor Erkang Wang. He received his BS degree from Nanjing University, where he carried out undergraduate research with Professor Xinghua Xia. He has published over 70 papers in peer-reviewed international journals. His research interests are focused on the design and synthesis of functional nanomaterials (such as nanozymes) and the development of new methodologies for analytical and biomedical applications. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
About This Department
Biomedical Engineering (BME) integrates engineering principles and biomedical knowledge to solve biomedical problems and develop innovative technologies for diseases diagnosis, treatment and prevention, thus improving the quality of human life. The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Nanjing University was established in October 2011. During the last 5 years, the department has grown rapidly, both in the number of people and the amount of research funding. It has made significant progress in undergraduate/graduate education, fundamental research, as well as clinical translation.
