Aalto University School of Science (Helsinki, Finland) invites applications for

Tenure track or Tenured Professor in Software Engineering

The vacancy at the Department of Computer Science is open to talented individuals who are interested in an excellent opportunity to pursue a successful scientific career. The position is targeted primarily at candidates for the Assistant Professor level. However, candidates with an outstanding record for Associate or Full Professor levels may be considered as well.

We are looking for a professor to complement our strong research in software engineering. With strong research groups in empirical software engineering and large-scale distributed systems, Aalto University is emerging as a frontrunner in software engineering in Europe. Furthermore, as the foremost CS educator in Finland, the department is home to the majority of the best Finnish students as well as high volume of high-achieving international students entering the MSc and PhD programs. In total, the department hosts 44 professors with diverse interests, forming a fertile environment for cross-disciplinary collaborations. On a larger scale, as a technology-friendly, yet small country, Finland offers ample opportunities for low-overhead collaboration with industrial and government partners as well.
