The Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (KSVDL) is seeking applicants for a Client Services Assistant. This position will provide customer service (both in English and Spanish) for the Rabies Laboratory through communications via email, fax, and phone with veterinarians, reference laboratories, medical doctors, pet owners, health departments and regulatory agencies, and maintain the quality system through corrective action reports and ensuring high customer relations. In addition, will serve at the administrative assistant to the Rabies Laboratory Director.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
One year of laboratory and/or applicable customer service and/or administrative assistant experience
The applicant must speak, write, and read Spanish competently.
B.S. in biology or related sciences
Experience with proofreading
Excellent computer skills including databases, spreadsheets, word processing and data entry (Excel and Powerpoint)
Excellent written and oral, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
