Job To Refer:	Assistant/Associate Professor -- Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) -- Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences Qatar University The Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences -- Environmental Sciences Program, at Qatar University, Doha, invites applications for a full-time position, at the level of full or associate professor, in Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology, to begin September 2012. The position is three years, renewable. The applicant is expected to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and research and a desire to work in a multidisciplinary environment and must be able to teach courses in environmental chemistry. Application Deadline: 25 Aug., 2012 Position Category: Academic Employment Type: Full-time Position Term: Three Years, Renewable Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Environmental Chemistry, Toxicology and Pollution. 2. Participating in current efforts to enhance and modernize teaching and instruction tools using modern communication technology. 3. Supervising students' research projects and theses. 4. Contributing to ongoing program research activities, preparing research proposals and augmenting dissemination of research findings for publication in internationally reputable peer-reviewed journals. 5. Collaborating with the Department in preparing submission documents on the program for program accreditation. Competencies: 1. Demonstrated excellence in teaching at an established international university/ies and higher education institution/s in Environmental Sciences, particularly in Environmental Chemistry 2. Demonstrated competence in research 3. Proficiency in spoken and written English 4. Research strengths in area of specialization: Environmental Chemistry Qualifications: 1. Teaching experience -- five years or more 2. Publication/s, with clear research agenda 3.
