The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), is Doctoral/Research extensive and a premier public urban university committed to academic excellence, located in the commercial and industrial hub of Wisconsin. UW-Milwaukee is one of the two “doctoral cluster” campuses in the 26-campus University of Wisconsin System with a student enrollment close to 28,000. The Department of Biological Sciences consists of approximately 30 faculty members, 10 academic staff, one classified staff, 60 graduate students, 200 undergraduate majors, and 4000 enrolled undergraduate students. The department is housed in Lapham Hall.
