The College of Coastal Georgia (CCGA) seeks applications for two outstanding faculty members in Mathematics.
The Faculty Members will join a newly formed School of Mathematics and Sciences, consisting of faculty members with strong records of academic excellence.
The successful candidates will have earned doctorates in Mathematics or doctorates in Mathematics Education, with Master's Degrees in Mathematics and have experience in teaching all levels of Mathematics, from Developmental Mathematics through Calculus and Linear Algebra.
The successful candidates will be expected to have a commitment to excellence in teaching, a commitment to professional development and serving students in a collegiate setting. Additionally, the candidates will be expected to work cooperatively with others and be willing to teach both day and evening classes in two campus locations.
A necessary qualification for one of the positions includes the ability to teach Statistics, in addition to upper division level classes in Mathematics.
Qualifications for the second position include the ability to teach upper and lower division level courses in Mathematics, as needed, to support the College’s professional degree programs.
It is desirable that both candidates demonstrate computer literacy, have academic advising experience and possess the ability to utilize technology in the classroom.
The positions are academic year, tenure-track appointments and may begin as early as January 2010.
Rank and salary are commensurate with credentials and experience.
