(This is a grant-funded, non-tenure track position. Continuation will be dependent on funding, job performance, and continued need for the appointment.)
WORK LOCATION: School of Renewable Natural Resources, LSU AgCenter, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position will be responsible for designing and conducting structural modifications and total synthesis of natural products. The successful candidate will be required to prepare reports and manuscripts for publications.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Ph.D. in medicinal chemistry, organic synthetic chemistry, or a related field. Applicant must possess experience in some, or preferably all, of the following: ability to develop optimal structural modifications and total synthesis, experience with scale-up process of modified or synthesized natural compounds, and knowledge of separation sciences with various absorbent materials.
