Assistant Professor -- Physical Chemistry
Applicants are invited for a Tenure-track Position, starting Fall 2010, with primary teaching responsibility in Physical and General Chemistry.
Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry required and postdoctoral experience desirable.
Each applicant should:
(a) possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching; (b) develop an active research program in either Theoretical or Experimental Physical Chemistry, involving Undergraduate Students; and, (c) pursue external funding.
This position is contingent on the availability of funds at the time of hire.
The Chemistry Department is ACS accredited and enrolls about 320 Undergraduates in Chemistry, Forensic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry and Chemistry Secondary Education and 40 Graduate Students in the Master's in Forensic Science Program. It supports the Undergraduate and Graduate Environmental Science and undergraduate Biochemistry/Molecular Biology/Bioinformatics Programs.
