A postdoctoral research associate position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Karin Sauer, Professor and Co-director of the Binghamton Biofilm Research Center (BBRC) in the Department of Biological Sciences at Binghamton University to work on an NIH-funded project on the regulation of dispersion by Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms, the role of the biofilm matrix, and pathways leading to dispersion and dispersion-related phenotypes in vitro and in vivo.

Requirements:
Candidates must have a PhD in microbiology or related field with a strong background in molecular biology and/or protein biochemistry.
Experience with molecular biology techniques and/or Pseudomonas genetics, antibiotic susceptibility assays, biofilm research, confocal microscopy, and RNA-seq analysis is desired.
Successful applicants should be self-motivated, productive, be experienced in writing scientific publications, have strong verbal and written communication skills in english, and be able to work in a team.
