Position Requirements: • Minimum Ph.D. in Sensory Science/ Food Science, or a closely related discipline from a distinguished international university. • A strong background in the food industry is highly preferred. • Post-doctoral experience in the realm of sensory science and food product development is highly desirable. • Proficiency in communication, leadership, and networking to facilitate effective collaboration with the food industry and relevant organizations. • Commitment to upholding elevated standards in teaching and student mentorship. • Proven dedication to fostering diversity and adeptness in interdisciplinary collaboration within the agricultural domain. • Demonstrated track record of published works in the realm of sensory science and food product development. • Teaching experience in relevant areas of “Sensory Science and Food Product development”. • Good h-index according to Scopus ranking. • Demonstrate ability to attract internal and external grants.
Responsibilities: The selected candidate will spearhead the establishment of an innovative research program focusing on both fundamental and applied dimensions of sensory science and product development. Key responsibilities include: • Devising and executing appropriate sensory tests for research and industry applications. • Conducting in-depth analysis and preparing comprehensive written reports. • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the sensory laboratory, including scheduling and supervision. • Managing the upkeep of sensory facilities and supervising a team of student workers. • Initiating external funding endeavors to bolster the program's sustainability. • Disseminating research discoveries through publication in reputable outlets. • Delivering undergraduate courses encompassing sensory evaluation, food product development, and related technological facets. • Providing invaluable guidance to graduate students and product development teams. • Actively participating in professional and practice communities to enhance service contributions.
