Open Search for Information Science / Information Technology for Fall 2020
The Informatics Department seeks outstanding candidates with or near completion of a Ph.D. in a computing or computing-related discipline.
Informatics has an open search for several positions in different areas of Information Science, Information Technology, and Data Systems.
The areas of interest include, but are not restricted to:
Interaction design and human-computer interaction
Data science and data mining
Social media and network analytics
Outstanding candidates in other information science and computational areas will also be considered.

University Heights: Newark’s Academic Hill. NJIT is located in the University Heights area of Newark, an academic mecca with more than 50,000 college students, faculty, and staff across five universities and colleges. NJIT and Rutgers are side-by-side sister campuses with shared programs, classes, and research projects.
Largest College of Computing on the East Coast of the USA. The Ying Wu College of Computing (YWCC) is the largest college of computing in the tri-state region of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania and one of the largest in the United States. YWCC graduates the commanding number of computing graduates in the area. As a result, 25% of all high-tech employees in New Jersey trained at NJIT.
Research Support. YWCC is a strong, active research college with innovative projects funded by NSF, NIH, DARPA, and partner companies such as Oculus, Verizon, and others.
