A postdoctoral position in bone regeneration and stem cell biology is available at UCLA School of Dentistry/Bioengineering. The successful candidate will work on NIH and DoD funded projects focused on developing new therapeutic strategies to repair craniofacial and orthopedic skeletal defects. The candidate is expected to interact with a multidisciplinary team of investigators, with experts in biomedical engineering, polymer chemistry, and surgery.
Applicants should have a recent Ph.D. in biology, biomedical engineering, or related field with strong research track records in one or more of the following areas: bone biology, molecular biology, gene therapy, stem cell biology, tissue engineering. Preference will be given to applicants with a strong experimental background in gene therapy and bone tissue engineering.
