The Department of Chemistry at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, invites applications for a faculty position in organic chemistry at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Candidates with research interests in chemical synthesis, organometallic chemistry, synthetic methods development, organic materials, chemo-enzymatic synthesis and in the synthesis of complex molecules such as natural products, are particularly encouraged to apply. It is likely that the candidate will leverage their program to study timely and important research problems related to human health. This position is part of a multi-faculty recruitment effort supported by the Office of the Provost under the Disciplinary Excellence initiative. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous and federally funded research program, and is expected to be committed to teaching a diverse student body at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to serve the Department, university, and discipline.
