The Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky seeks to fill a tenure-eligible faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Bioanalytical or Biomaterials Chemistry. This is a 9-month position in the regular title series with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2024. The Department of Chemistry encourages candidates with research expertise and interests that align with the UK Research Priority Areas (RPAs) (https://www.research.uky.edu/research-priorities-initiative). The ability to collaborate with other researchers in Chemistry, Chemical & Materials Engineering, the Markey Cancer Center, Saha Cardiovascular Research Center, Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center, Sanders-Brown Center on Aging, or the Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Research Center is highly desirable. Teaching responsibilities for this position will involve instruction at the undergraduate and graduate level in biological chemistry. A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field is required.
