Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Department of Food and Nutritional Sciences, the College of Agricultural & Environment and Nutrition Sciences at Tuskegee University, is recruiting an Assistant/Associate Professor in Food Science. The appointee will be involved in teaching, research, and extension with responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate coursework in food chemistry, food analysis, and related courses, advise undergraduate and graduate students with a typical teaching load of two to three courses per semester. The successful applicant is expected to be actively engaged in Integrative Research-Extension activities and is also expected to work with colleagues in other disciplines and departments and participate in departmental, college, and/or University affairs.
A Ph.D. in Food Science/Nutrition, are related to discipline
Evidence of successful teaching experience at the undergraduate levels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Evidence of scholarly activity, including, but not limited to publications, conference presentations, and grant writing
History of interdisciplinary training or collaborations
Commensurate with education, training, and experience: Salary is contingent upon outside funding.
