Work Area: Development of optical fiber sensors for applications in high voltage transformers.
Project overview: This work area is part of a project in collaboration with EFACEC and aims to develop fiber optic sensors and their incorporation into materials used in 3D printing. The work to be carried out is part of a doctoral program in Physical Engineering.
Objectives: To achieve the objectives, this grant considers the following stages of work:
- Study the behaviour of the sensors with a BraggScope interrogator purchased from FiberSensing;
- Installation of the sensors in a high-voltage transformer;
- Experimental measurements in empty and in charge;
- Analysis and discussion of results;
- Assessment of the possibility of measuring acceleration in more than one direction; – Study of applicable materials.
Academic Qualifications: Master in Physical Engineering with average over 15 values.
Minimum Profile required: Knowledge of optical fiber sensors.
Preference factors: PhD candidate
