The Micron School of Materials Science and Engineering at Boise State University is seeking a Ph.D. student to work on phase field modeling of multicomponent alloys under thermo-magnetic heat treatment.
Candidates with a background in computational materials science, solid mechanics, computation mechanics, and applied physics are encouraged to apply. Candidates with a masters’ degree are preferred. Background in phase field modeling, coding, materials modeling, and finite element method is a plus. The candidates are expected to have a strong academic record and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
