The College of Arts & Sciences (COAS) at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide (ERAU-W) announces the availability of two (2) full-time non-tenure track visiting Instructor positions These positions are teaching positions, with an additional expectation of service to COAS and ERAU-W

The College of Arts & Sciences seeks highly qualified applicants for non-tenure-track, full-time visiting Instructor positions in Mathematics/Statistics, to be housed within the Department of Mathematics, Physical & Life Sciences. These are primarily teaching positions that also will serve the needs of the department, including curriculum development and mentoring/evaluating adjunct faculty. The successful applicant will work collaboratively across the three Worldwide colleges, with the goals of a) reducing dependence on adjunct faculty for high impact courses, and b) supporting student academic mentoring.

COAS offers four bachelor’s degrees (Communication, Homeland Security, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Emergency Services) and two master’s degrees (Cybersecurity Management & Policy and Human Security & Resilience), with more planned for the near future. Departments in the College are: English, Humanities and Communication; Mathematics, Physical and Life Sciences; Security and Emergency Services; and, Social Sciences and Economics. In addition to degree programs, COAS provides over 2,000 sections of general education courses as part of every degree program at Embry-Riddle Worldwide, with a focus on developing students’ critical thinking, quantitative reasoning, information literacy, communication, scientific literacy, cultural literacy, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

Master’s degree (doctoral degree preferred) from regionally accredited university in a related discipline
College/university teaching experience, preferably with online education
Willingness and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams in support of strategic goals
Experiences that demonstrate the ability to collaborate well with diverse team members
