The College of Sciences – Student Services seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor Pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2019, Spring 2020, and Summer 2020 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.
The anticipated need is for Adjunct Instructors whose duties may include, but are not limited to teaching COS 1100 – A 1 credit hour course with 2 sections
COS 1100 is a first-year seminar designed to support and enhance success in the College of Science by teaching and practicing healthy academic habits, connecting students to campus resources, and building a support network of peers, faculty, and staff.
Minimum Qualifications: 18 hours of graduate level work in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or related field experience with academic advising and student services in the College of Science at UNT
Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience with first-year college success seminars or similar courses
