1. Hiring Department (School of Undergraduate Studies) and Academic Fields
1) Physics : All Fields in Physics
- Qualifications
‧ Ph.D. in Physics required (open to all fields in Physics)
‧ Non-Korean nationals only
‧ Native or near-native proficiency in English required
‧ At least two years of college-level teaching experience required
- Main Duties and Responsibilities
‧ Teach undergraduate courses totaling 12 credit hours per semester, including 3 courses in General Physics
‧ Develop Physics courses
‧ Innovate and improve teaching methodologies
‧ Contribute to departmental, university, and community service
2) Chemistry : All Fields in Chemistry
- Qualifications
‧ Ph.D. in Chemistry required (open to all fields in Chemistry)
‧ Non-Korean nationals only
‧ Native or near-native proficiency in English required
‧ College-level teaching experience preferred
- Main Duties and Responsibilities
‧ Teach undergraduate courses totaling 12 credit hours per semester, including General Chemistry and General Chemistry Laboratory
‧ Develop Chemistry courses
‧ Innovate and improve teaching methodologies
‧ Contribute to departmental, university, and community service
3) Mathematics : All Fields in Mathematics
- Qualifications
‧ Ph.D in Mathematics required (open to all fields in Mathematics)
‧ Non-Korean nationals only
‧ Native or near-native English proficiency required
‧ College-level teaching experience preferred (particularly in Probability and Statistics)
- Main Duties and Responsibilities
‧ Teach undergraduate courses totaling 12 credit hours per semester
‧ Develop Mathematics courses
‧ Innovate and improve teaching methodologies
‧ Contribute to departmental, university, and community service

1) Position
ㆍFull-time Teaching Track Faculty (Non-Tenure)
- Rank: Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor
(※The final rank will be determined based on the candidate's experience.)
2) Main Duties
ㆍTeach 12 credit hours per semester (including laboratory courses) and develop courses
3. Qualification
⦁ Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in a closely related discipline at the time of the appointment.
⦁ Proficiency in English is required, as all lectures at DGIST are conducted in English.
⦁ Only non-Korean nationals are eligible to apply.
⦁ Female scientists are strongly encouraged to apply.

⦁Salary : Equivalent to Tenure Track Faculty base salary
⦁Faculty Residence : 76 to 132 m² units (130 units in total)

8. Matters of Consideration
⦁ If no suitable candidates are found, the number of hires may be reduced, or no selections may be made.
⦁ Appointment may be postponed due to internal circumstances of DGIST.
⦁ The final appointment decision will be notified individually. After the initial contract period, reappointment and promotion evaluations will be conducted, allowing continuous employment in increments of up to three years until the mandatory retirement age (Non-tenure Track).
⦁ The appointment shall be canceled under the following circumstances:
- If false entries or modifications are found in the application form.
- If the candidate fails to obtain a doctoral degree at the time of appointment.
⦁ The appointment and acceptance will also be canceled if the candidate, or someone closely related to the candidate, engages in any form of misconduct, such as making improper requests, exerting pressure, or offering financial benefits in relation to the hiring process, resulting in their unfair selection.
⦁ Appointment will be restricted if the candidate is subject to disqualifications, set out in the State Public Officials Act, (Article 33) or the DGIST Regulation on Faculty Personnel Management, (Article 12).
