This is an introductory-level class that meets two times a week (Tuesdays & Thusdays 4:30-5:45pm) at the Medford campus. The lecturer will be supported by a graduate Teaching Assistant for 5 hrs/week.
Environmental Policy is a core course in the Environmental Studies Program, introducing students to the complexities of environmental policy through a case-based approach. The course introduces concepts and techniques central to environmental policy, focusing initially on the United States, then linking to global environmental policy-making. Case studies offer insights at local, state, national and international levels into systems thinking, transboundary issues, and stakeholder perspectives in Environmental Policy. A syllabus is available upon request but we encourage applicants to tailor the course around their own strengths in the field.
