The primary function of the Center for Academic Excellence at North Carolina A&T State University is to provide the academic support services to the campus. Our mission is to communicate the University’s student success priorities, foster undergraduate achievement, and monitor academic progress.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Structured Learning Support Services (SLSS) sub-unit in the Center for Academic Excellence
(CAE) at North Carolina A&T State University is accepting applications for a part-time instructor for fall 2021 semester only. Part-time Instructors are hired on a semester-by-semester basis to teach the Fundamentals of Algebra and Trigonometry Level One Enhanced with Pre-college Algebra course delivered by CAE. The maximum teaching load is 12 credit hours for the fall semester only. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to teaching face-to-face and/or virtual courses; attending training sessions with the Center of Teaching Excellence; attending training sessions hosted by Instructional Technology Training and Development (ITTD); participating in data collection and assessment of student learning; keeping office hours; and submitting teaching materials as part of semester review.
A Master’s degree in Mathematics Education, or a Master’s degree with a concentration in the Mathematics discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics)

A demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching
Related work experiences in the field, professional licensure and certifications, honors and awards, continuous documented excellence in teaching, or other demonstrated competencies and achievements that contribute to effective teaching and student learning outcomes to be used to supplement academic credentials if warranted.
Established record of teaching excellence and demonstrated leadership experience.
A minimum of two years of work experience required.
