The Department of Aerospace, Physics and Space Sciences at Florida Institute of Technology invites applications for an instructor position, beginning August 2021. This is a 9 month position with additional opportunities to teach classes in the summer. The successful candidate will teach our introductory astronomy course and our Physics 1/2/Modern Physics sequence. Applicants who can teach junior level physics and/or astrophysics courses for majors are particularly encouraged to apply. The minimum expectation for the applicants is to have an M.S. degree, or foreign equivalent, in Physics, Astrophysics or in a closely related field; a Ph.D. degree is preferred. A successful candidate will have experience in teaching to a diverse student population and with delivering the classroom material face-to-face and remotely.
