The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of North Texas (UNT), a Hispanic-Serving Institution and a Carnegie Research Tier 1 institution, invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position with a research focus in Neurobiology.
This includes (but is not limited to) research in neural development, diseases of the nervous system, neural signaling, neurophysiology, neurotoxicology, neuroendocrinology, and neuroimmunology. The successful candidate will be expected to obtain funding to support a vibrant research program in the candidate's discipline and engage in undergraduate and graduate education by teaching courses in their area of expertise.
The successful candidate is encouraged to develop interdisciplinary collaborations within and between departments at UNT. The successful candidate should have an interest and participate in our growing undergraduate degree program and graduate programs in biology ( http://biology.unt.edu/graduate-programshttp://biology.unt.edu/graduate-programs), and is expected to help foster their continued growth along with other faculty members through instruction and research.
