A full-time postdoctoral scientist position is available at the University of California, Davis for up to three years in the area of wildfire modeling. Funding is available through a large collaborative project funded by the University of California that brings together researchers from five U.C. campuses and two national labs to investigate health impacts due to California wildfire smoke. The postdoc will work in collaboration with Dr. Brian Bailey in the Department of Plant Sciences, and focus on development and application of wildfire modeling tools.
Candidates must hold a PhD at the time of position appointment. Funding is available immediately, but start date is flexible particularly considering the current pandemic situation. Salary is commensurate with the U.C. Davis postdoctoral scholar salary scale based on years of experience, and includes healthcare, retirement, and other benefits.
