The Applied Aviation Sciences Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott Campus seeks an adjunct professor to teach up to five meteorology courses per calendar year. Courses will include a survey courses in basic meteorology and aviation weather, as well as upper-division courses in satellite and radar imagery interpretation, thunderstorms, atmospheric physics, forecasting techniques and/or synoptic meteorology.
The successful candidate will have preferably a Ph.D. degree in atmospheric science or meteorology and have prior teaching experience at the college or university level. Excellent interpersonal skills and innovative teaching methods are desired, as well as the ability to establish and uphold clear course policies. Computing skills in Python programming and MS Office applications also a plus.
