The Department of Physiology and Biophysics has an exciting new opportunity for a Research Scholar opening. Our group seeks highly motivated personnel to engage in neuroscience research at the laboratory of SUNY Distinguished Professor Dr. Zhen Yan. The main aim of Yan laboratory is to elucidate the epigenetic and synaptic mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders. Minimum Qualifications
PhD in Neuroscience, Biology or related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Research experience in molecular, cellular and behavioral neuroscience is highly preferred. Other preferred characteristics include: excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong publication record, proven ability to work effectively both independently and as a part of a cross-functional team and the ability to effectively plan and organize work activities, and prioritize task completion to meet schedules and deadlines.
