The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at The MetroHealth System (MHS) and Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine invites applications for a nontenure-track, Ph.D. Scientist faculty position to begin no later than January 2023. Joint recruitment opportunities with other CWRU School of Medicine departments and CWRU School of Engineering departments may be considered.
A successful candidate will have a track record of peer-reviewed publications, and a strong background in bowel and bladder function following neurological injury in animal models and human investigations. The successful candidate is expected to envision, design, and conduct original neurorehabilitation research or technology development projects as an independent investigator, as a team scientist, or under the mentorship of independent investigators. Academic appointments will be commensurate with experience, and a track record of peer-reviewed publications and extramural funding. The successful candidate will also contribute to leadership and mentorship within the Department of PM&R at MHS and CWRU School of Medicine and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the CWRU School of Engineering.
