Aalto University School of Science is looking for Lecturers in Computer Science (several positions)
The positions are available at all levels of the Aalto University lecturer career system: University Teacher, University Lecturer and Senior University Lecturer. The positions are full-time and, depending on the candidate’s qualifications, either permanent or fixed-term for 5 years with the possibility of advancing to a permanent position through a promotion review. The open positions are at the Department of Computer Science. We invite applications particularly from the following areas:
– data management and data science
– software systems
– software engineering
– cyber security
The candidates must hold a doctoral degree at the time of being appointed, and they are expected to have good teaching skills and a deep interest in teaching and working with students in higher education. We value ongoing research activity, pedagogical studies and interest in pedagogical development, as well as industry experience. Good communication and teamwork and management skills are also needed in this position. The candidates must be fluent in English, and ability to teach in Finnish is an advantage. The department is committed to fostering an inclusive environment with diverse faculty members. Therefore, applications from groups that have been underrepresented in computer science are particularly sought.
