Position: Assistant Professor of Mathematics for Fall 2020

Status: Full Time, exempt (Tenure-Track Appointment)
Position Summary
In keeping with the President’s commitment to Tuskegee University demonstrating "Excellence in Every Way," the ideal Assistant Professor of Mathematics will be able to assist in the daily operations and management of the Mathematics Department, College of Arts and Sciences and in alignment with the Office of the President.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
To teach 12 semester hours of entry-level or upper-level mathematics courses
To serve on departmental and/or university-wide committees
Work with outreach programs
To guide upper-level mathematics majors in independent research projects
Work towards course development
To publish and to seek external funding
Qualifications
Ph.D. required in any area of mathematics
Strong consideration will be given to applicants who can teach partial differential equations and/or statistics
Salary
Commensurate with education, training, and experience
