The successful candidate will: 1) teach three courses per year (a required course in Atmospheric Science for majors and two new elective courses relevant to the Earth Science and Climate Science curriculums); and 2) perform high‑quality, externally‑funded research in their area of expertise.
The Department of Earth and Climate Sciences at Tufts is an undergraduate-only program with six tenure-stream Professors, a full-time lecturer, and small community of post docs. Tufts University is in the Boston area and is near a diverse array of environments, research facilities, and organizations that are conducive to field trips and research collaborations.
Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science, Earth Science, or related fields and demonstrate potential for impactful research. Candidates are expected to be inspiring undergraduate educators and to provide opportunities for active undergraduate participation in research. Candidates with computational, theoretical, or field approaches are encouraged to apply.
