Department of Information Science in the
Graduate School of Education, University at Buffalo, the State University of New York (SUNY) invites applications for a
Clinical Assistant Professor (non-tenure track).The Department of Information Science has a long history of research excellence and innovative teaching. We strive to create learning environments that enable our students to move into the information professions with contemporary skills and abilities through our programs: an ALA-accredited MS in Information and Library Science, MS in School Librarianship, an Advanced Studies Certificate, and a Ph.D. in Information Science.
We seek an outstanding scholar with a commitment to excellence in teaching and the ability to effectively deliver course content in our online master’s programs. Responsibilities include:
•Teach eight courses per academic year; subject areas are flexible
•Advise Information Science master’s students
•Participate in professional activities and serve on department, school, and/or university committees
•Contribute to the scholarly and intellectual community of the department. Research productivity is encouraged but is not a requirement of this position
Appointments are for a ten-month academic year beginning in the Fall 2024. Initial screening of completed applications will begin October 10, 2023 and will continue until the position is filled.
