Textile Sciences Physics - General Chemistry - General
PhD position available in the design of sustainable polymers, chemical recycling methods, and/or modeling techniques for AI aimed at discoverying new polymer and chemical recycling designs. Successful candidates will have a background in material science, chemistry, physics, or mathematics with a strong desire to complete research toward new polymer designs to address the crisis of plasic waste. Research will include wet laboratory techniques and testing for thermal and mechanical properties of newly synthesized samples. An opportunity also includes designing new packaging materials for compostibility using a laboratory-based respirometer.
