With a long history of research excellence, innovative teaching, collaboration and collegiality, and emphasis on equity, social responsibility and justice, our departments are looking for a colleague who will contribute expertise in the area of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), which may include human-information interaction, human factors in technology, intelligent information interfaces, information visualization, sociotechnical systems, human-robot interaction, virtual reality and augmented reality, fair and responsible artificial intelligence, and other interrelated areas.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain an active and productive research agenda commensurate with a Research 1 tenure-track faculty appointment
- Seek external grant funding
- Teach a total of four courses each year, two within the Department of Information Science and two within the Department of Computer Science
- Advise Information Science master’s and Ph.D. students
- Participate in professional activities and serving on department, school, and university committees
