A
Research Scientist position is available in the
Department of Biochemistry immediately to investigate excitotoxicity as a manifestation of ferroptosis.
Specifically, the project will:
- Delineate cellular connections between NMDA Receptor-mediated calcium flux and excitotoxic morbidity.
- Examine the potential of small molecules to mitigate the pathologic neurochemistry that characterizes glutamate and iron-dependent cytotoxicity.
