The Department of Chemistry at the University of North Texas (UNT), Denton, TX, invites applications from outstanding scientists for a tenure-track position in organic chemistry with membership in the BioDiscovery Institute (BDI), one of four recently established Institutes of Research Excellence at UNT (http://bdi.unt.edu). An appointment at the Assistant Professor level is expected; however, candidates at higher ranks may also be considered. We are seeking an individual working in the general area of synthetic chemistry of biologically relevant organic compounds. Dedicated, newly-renovated research space, and state-of-the-art core facilities in genomics and analytical chemistry/biochemistry will support the new member and facilitate collaboration with colleagues in BDI.

Successful candidates are expected to develop an internationally-recognized research program. The selected candidate will interact with diverse faculty, staff and students within the Institute and across UNT, and contribute to graduate and undergraduate teaching and training. Screening of applications will begin on November 1st, 2019, and will continue until the position is closed.
