The Data Analytics Program at Tufts University seeks a part‐time lecturer to teach an undergraduate-level course, Introduction to Data Analytics, starting in Spring 2024. This introductory course will establish a unifying framework for how data should be used to answer and explore different questions. It will provide an introduction into the ways that data are used and analyzed across the different disciplines within the arts, humanities, and sciences. The course will provide an understanding of the use and misuse of data, its analysis, and interpretation. After this course, you should be able to critically evaluate and conduct different types of data analyses, as well as understand emerging trends in the field. The in-person class will meet for one and a half hours twice a week in the spring on Tufts’ Medford campus. A weekly lab will also be taught by the course TA.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have significant experience working in the field of data analytics/science. The teaching interests of the successful candidate should be in data analytics, statistics, quantitative and research methods, and data visualization. The course can be taught in the evenings.
