Role Description: Two postdoctoral positions are currently open in the Chang-Deng Hu lab at Purdue University for a self-motivated, productive, and enthusiastic investigator who are willing to pursue innovative and multidisciplinary research. The Hu lab works on mechanisms and targeting of therapy-induced neuroendocrine tumors, particularly neuroendocrine prostate cancer. Major research areas are roles of protein arginine methyltransferases (e.g., PRMT5) in epigenetic reprogramming of therapy-induced neuroendocrine differentiation and development of therapeutic agents targeting epigenetic regulators. More details can be found from the lab website (https://www.changdenghulab.com/). One Postdoctoral Research Associate is expected to work on mouse genetics to elucidate the roles of genetic and epigenetic regulators in therapy-induced neuroendocrine prostate cancer, and the other Postdoctoral Research Associate is expected to develop novel therapeutics by targeting critical protein-protein interactions for treatment of neuroendocrine prostate cancer and other neuroendocrine tumors.
