Post-Doctoral Positions available on the Research Topic:
"Regulation of Cell Division and Dimensions in Bacillary Bacteria"
The research involves several projects, aimed to understand the postulated Primary Signal transmitted from the Nucleoid and its Replisome to the Sacculus and its Divisome.
The projects are funded by the Israel-US Binational Science Foundation (BSF) and the Israel Science Foundation (ISF) and are conducted in cooperation with Scientists at Ben-Gurion University, namely Professors Mario Feingold, Itzhak Fishov, Oleg Krichevsky, Rami Pugatch and Avinoam Rabinovitch, as well as with internationally known scientists from USA, China, UK, and the Netherlands.
The projects involve optical methods and computational analyses to measure nucleoid morphology, DNA structure & replication at high resolution, FtsZ dynamics related to membrane domains, gentle handling of bacterial cells and extracted nucleoids, and mathematical modeling in controlled environments.
We use variety of biophysics, molecular biology, bacterial physiology, biochemistry & genetic methods.
