Lecturer 12 Months

 

Computer Science - the Lecturer will teach and provide student advisement as primary job responsibilities. Assigned courses will be based on subject matter expertise and department needs. The Department of Computer Science, located in a new building, has a strong commitment to undergraduate research and offers six undergraduate degrees (B.S. in Computer Science, CS/Data Science, CS/Cybersecurity, CS/Information Systems and BS Information Technology, IT/Cybersecurity) and a graduate degree (M.S. in Computer Information Systems). The computer science and information technology degrees are ABET CAC accredited, and the cybersecurity programs have received the National Security Agency Center of Academic Distinction in Cyber Defense (NSA CAE-CD).  

 

This is a twelve-month, full-time, non-tenure track Lecturer position effective for the Fall 2023 semester.  Teaching assignments may be assigned at any of Kean’s New Jersey locations - Union, Ocean, Princeton, Skylands or for Kean Online and may include day, evening and weekend courses. 

 

Qualifications:  Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and a minimum of one year of teaching experience at the post-secondary level is required. Candidates with industry and teaching experience are encouraged to apply.

 

Interest or experience in using advanced instructional technologies to improve the teaching/learning process is highly desirable. Proficiency in a Learning Management System is required, consistent with University guidelines.
